The template facility does not support "links" to other sites or rich text, so it limits the email in many common scenarios.

Many of our templates contain links to other websites.

As a first step, we've added support for rich text in the editor, see image below. Next, we will introduce rich text support for editing templates and adding additional information. 
Formats supported: bold, italic, underline, link, list, and indent.
Until 18 Mar, please include "use markdown (bold, link, flat list)" as additional information.
